After working on Aston Martin's Formula 1 75th Anniversary film, they invited me back for another project. This time, together with Coinbase.
The brief was surprisingly simple. We had interviews with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, and the challenge was to transform them into something that felt cinematic while celebrating the legendary Interlagos circuit.
It pushed me into a different kind of storytelling. Rather than building a narrative from scratch, I had to find one hidden inside the interviews. Through animation, fast-paced editing and sound, we tried to capture the intensity of a Formula 1 lap without relying on endless shots of racing cars.
We had just five weeks to make it, so there wasn't much time to overthink anything. Sometimes those deadlines force you to trust your instincts, and I think this was one of those projects.
As always, none of it would have happened without an incredible team. Five weeks is a ridiculous schedule for a film like this, but somehow they made it possible. More importantly, they made the whole process enjoyable.
